About Us

Ensorullah Yama Mohammad
Founder and Arabic Instructor
Yama Mohammad began his Arabic studies at Zaytuna Institute in 1998, now known as Zaytuna College, located in Berkeley, CA. In 2002, he traveled to Mauritania to study with some of the great luminaries of our time. He was blessed to study with them the sacred sciences and the Arabic language.
In 2015, he earned his BA and MA in Arabic from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He has taught Arabic at Middlebury Language Schools and was a Teaching Assistant Zaytuna College.
His research interests include Classical Arabic linguistics, literature, and early Islamic history.

Afafe El Bouhali
Co-Founder
Afaf El Bouhali was born and raised in Morocco. She moved to the US in 2013. She is a mother of two kids, and pursuing a degree in psychology.
She is passionate about sharing the beauty of her country’s art, tradition, language and culture. She joined her husband in his mission of attempting to restore the beauty and importance of classical Arabic language.
